      Ouray Meyers was born and raised in Taos New Mexico,coming from a family with an artistic background.His father Ralph Meyers and the meyers household was frequently visited by Taos Artist of the period.

 

      Ouray was self-taught, Though through the influences available to him, he learned approach and technique, as well as the aesthetic viewpoints of the mid-century Taos Art Community. His style is unique, with realist influences and wide appeal.
